Adele’s Work
A South African artist, Adele draws inspiration from the forms and colours of her surroundings. Working mainly with Sterling Silver, she integrates a variety of materials, including epoxy, beads, micro-mosaics, and stone to create contemporary jewellery. Many of her pieces incorporate traditional African hand-painted beads.
Every piece is designed and made exclusively by Adele in her Calitzdorp studio, surrounded by the mountains and rugged landscape of the Klein Karoo. Each creation is a unique object, part jewellery, part sculpture, and entirely its own.
The Team
Lara, Adele’s youngest daughter, manages operations and marketing for Vuuren Solo Artist. She has a background in the performing arts and business administration. With her Masters in Arts & Cultural Management, her passion lies in bringing exposure and appreciation for boutique arts and culture brands.
History
Adele holds a Fine Arts degree (Jewellery Design & Manufacturing) from Stellenbosch University and has been producing jewellery for more than three decades.
